Yossi Abu is CEO of East Med Energy, having previously served as CEO of Delek Drilling and Chairman of Tamar Petroleum.
Yossi Abu is CEO of East Med Energy, having previously served as CEO of Delek Drilling from 2011 through its merger with Avner Oil Exploration in 2017, and as Chairman of Tamar Petroleum 2017-2019. From June 2018 he also served as CEO of Delek Energy. He is a senior partner in the development of the Tamar and Leviathan reservoirs and led regional natural gas export agreements between Israel, Egypt, Jordan, and other countries in the region. Earlier in his career, he served as a Senior Professional Adviser to the Minister of Finance in Israel, where he was involved in formulating the state budget and structural reforms in the Israeli economy. He holds an LL.B. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and undertook LL.M. studies in the joint program of the Hebrew University and Georgetown University Law Center.
