John Harpole is a member of the CSA Chairman’s Council. He is the founder of Mercator Energy, a Colorado-based natural gas marketing and consulting firm that works with producers, end-users, and policymakers across the natural-gas value chain. Mr. Harpole has spent decades in the U.S. natural gas industry and has been an active voice in connecting domestic production to national-security policy. He joined the Chairman’s Council in 2026.
