H. H. “Tripp” Wommack III is a Texas energy industry veteran with a career spanning more than four decades in the Permian Basin. After founding Southwest Royalties, Inc. in 1983 and growing it into a major Permian-focused operator before its $180,000,000 sale in 2004, he founded Saber Resources (sold 2008), Saber Oil & Gas Ventures, Anchor Energy Resources, and Warrior Technologies, LLC. He founded and chaired Petro Waste Environmental, which was sold to Waste Management in February 2019, and founded Basic Energy Services in 1991, taking it public in 2003 and serving as Chairman, President and CEO. Mr. Wommack received a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1977) and a JD from the University of Texas (1980), and has served on multiple public-company boards including C&J Energy Services and Key Energy Services.
