Ambassador Pete Hoekstra serves as the United States Ambassador to Canada. He previously served as the U.S. Ambassador to the Netherlands and represented Michigan’s 2nd District in the U.S. House of Representatives for nine terms, including service as Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. A long-standing former CSA Advisory Board Member, Ambassador Hoekstra now serves among CSA’s Emeritus members in public service. He continues to engage CSA’s work, including a 2026 briefing on U.S.–Canada relations and a planned June 2026 Energy Council panel on North American energy cooperation with CSA Director of Operations Isaac Choua.
